I tend to write about inequality: what it looks like, how it continues and how it is being solved. I was formerly a reporting fellow at The Investigative Fund at The Nation Institute in New York City and a staff reporter for Colorlines.com. I have produced for TV and written for Columbia Journalism Review, The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, O, The Daily Beast, and others. No doubt, my personal journey informs my professional interests. I am an immigrant. I began in a small, rural village in Barbados, W.I. and became a city and prep school kid in New York City. I specialized in urban reporting at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and at the London School of Economics I earned my first master's in gender and international development. I know well, US politics and history. I've studied Latin American history and politics and Spanish literature and, in the last few years I've become more interested in African literature and current affairs. I'm always reading and, yes, I'm always game for tips. Last updated May 2017
