Gabriel Thompson

Gabriel Thompson is an author and independent journalist who has written for The New York Times, Harper's, New York, Slate, Mother Jones, Vice Magazine, Virginia Quarterly Review, and The Nation . His articles about labor and immigration have won a number of prizes, including the Studs Terkel Media Award and the Sidney Award. He is the author of five books, including Working in the Shadows (Nation Books) and America's Social Arsonist (UC Press). His most recent book, an oral history collection of California farmworkers, is Chasing the Harvest (Verso). Last updated July 2017
