Jacob Kushner

Jacob Kushner is an investigative journalist who reports on refugees and migration, development economics and inequality, foreign aid and investment, governance and innovation in developing nations. His current work focuses on East/Central Africa, the Caribbean, and Germany. He holds an M.A. in political journalism from Columbia University in New York. There, he investigated Chinese engagement in Africa and authored an award-winning eBook, China’s Congo Plan. Jacob’s journalism has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, National Geographic, VQR, Pacific Standard magazine, NewYorker.com, VICE magazine, ForeignPolicy.com, The Nation magazine, WIRED, Newsweek magazine, OZY, the Associated Press, the Los Angeles Times, The American Interest, Guernica, Moment Magazine, the Christian Science Monitor and others.
